I am from Havana, Florida. I moved to Atlanta to go to college. I have my Masters in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University. I have been married for almost five years. We have a dog named Cooper and a cat named Kitty. I am very excited about this school year. This will be my eighth year teaching. I taught 1st grade for 6 years and 2nd grade for 1 year. It is my joy to watch students grow and discover new things academically and individually. Thank you for entrusting your child to me this year. Please know that my door is always open and I am here to answer any questions you may have. My email address is Heather.Suber@CobbK12.org. I look forward to this year of learning together!
Welcome to our classroom blog...FINALLY! This blog will be a place for students to share their discoveries and new thoughts, as well as another way of communication to our parents. I look forward to posting updates on the progress of our class.
From a parents' perspective, I like that fact that they get practice tests now because Jordan needs to keep the lesson fresh or he will forget. And at least will know now how he will do on the actual test so we can do something about it as supposed to after the real test and he fails and he will be the only kid in the 5th grade with a beard!!!
I am also excited about the tutoring...Jordan loves it and the one on one that they get is extremely helpful because they can get the attention that they might need that they cannot get in class.
Thanks for the comment! I do see the other side of testing too. They will never get away from testing. I just hate how they base a kid's whole future on one single test. Ugh!!! It makes me more frustrated every time I think about it. We will make it through one way or another. Thanks for you support with him and his education!
